Letter from the President

RE: The End of an Era

July 30, 2025

Dear ACCD Members,

It is with heartfelt gratitude that we celebrated 76 remarkable years of ACCD, however it is now time that all good things must come to an end. After careful consideration, the Board of Directors has made the decision that now is the right time to close this chapter, while not an easy decision but nevertheless necessary. Our focus now is on a smooth and transparent wind-down process. We will begin the final closure and removal of the Articles of Incorporation with the Secretary of State’s Office and distribute the remaining resources in alignment with our mission and legal responsibilities.
We would like to thank everyone for their support over the years and celebrate the friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Your support through volunteering your time, donating and championing our cause has been the cornerstone of ACCD’s past success. As we close this chapter, we encourage you to carry forward the spirit of our work in your communities and in your careers.
Thank you for the remarkable journey and being a part of ACCD’s story.
With gratitude and celebration,

Terri L. Vosbury – President
Erin Benford – 1st VP
Eddie Swindall – 2nd VP
Decarion Davis – Treasurer
Michael Arnold – Secretary
Alabama Council on Crime and Delinquency
